Making the Solar System in Your School

Science Ambassadors: Marcus, Richard and Giles with the help of Rob

We showed learners how to make a scale model of the solar system in their school, discover why they call space "space" and how to keep track of the position of the planets in the sky.

North and South has two fantastic projector telescopes to lend to SA schools. We also have a meteorite sample kit to lend out too. It even contains little pieces of the Moon and planet Mars!

Right - South African Science Ambassadors help learners use an Orrery supplied by the ArmaghPlanetarium in Northern Ireland.
