SALT Seeing the Spectrum
Our eyes can only see a tiny fraction of the spectrum of electromagnetic waves that reaches us from the Cosmos. SALT has been designed to collect parts of the spectrum that other ground based telescopes are almost blind to.
This resource will enable you to learn about the spectrum and the properties of electromagnetic waves through the design of SALT’s reflective surfaces and detectors. You will discover how these capabilities of SALT let scientist solve scientific mysteries.
